Impact Simulation of the Chinese ZEB Standard (CN)

This research report evaluates the impact of China’s new Zero-Emission Building (ZEB) standard using simulations across four climate zones. It identifies retrofit strategies, quantifies emission reductions, and proposes a scalable GIS-based framework. Results show that combining envelope upgrades, HVAC improvements, and PV integration can achieve near-zero or net-zero emissions, especially when supported by grid decarbonization.
